Year in review 2021
A look back at 2021:
Year in review

2021 is a year we experienced uncertainty, bewilderment, and now resilience. We have walked through the mire of the pandemic, armored with aspiration, dedication, and contemplation.

There was one theme in 2021 called uncertainty. We are experiencing a time where inflation and stocks soar to historical highs, whilst some people think conditions are ripe for a correction. We're seeing a trend towards investors looking to safeguard investments during 2021 and into 2022, which could be especially beneficial to credit fund companies like Tanggram.

At Tanggram, we ensured that our products were able to provide our investors with a sustainable income throughout the year of alteration. With a commitment to prioritise our users’ interests, the cream rose to the top. We have achieved many extraordinary results during the year.

The job we‘ve done

New app

In January 2021, Tanggram had its first major release. In order to provide a better user experience, Tanggram made improvements including new fonts, in-app messaging as well as upgrading UI & UX in the new app release.

$5,000,000

In June, Tanggram raised $5 million in the Series A capital raising from prominent Australian investors -- the Raye family, to further develop the platform and scale up in the market.

70,000

Since the official launch in April 2020, Tanggram has achieved dramatic growth of over 70,000 subscription users.

$14,000,000

We ended the year with more than $14 million under management across our Seed and Spark portfolios.

Social commitment

Support local

To support our beloved local businesses after the lockdown and give-back to the community, we initiated the Rainbow campaign in July. This enables seven participating merchants each month to give out free goods to registered Tanggram users. More than 600 freebies have been claimed by Tanggramers!

Vaccination

To support Australia’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout, we rewarded all Tanggramers who have completed their both jabs with 20 bonus T-Points by participating in our Vaccination Reward Campaign. A total of $2340 in T-Points has been given out so far.

Support female founders

Tanggram is the designated strategic and organizing partner of the She Loves Tech Competition in Australia. It is the world’s largest startup competition for women and tech held in more than 40 countries this year.

Awards

FinTech award

Tanggram has been named a finalist at the 6th Annual FinTech Awards 2021 - BEST Personal Financial Manager &/or Savings Account. As Australia’s first smart wealth creating app, Tanggram is dedicated to its mission towards helping everyday people make money through investing.

Finnies

Tanggram was the Event Sponsor of the Finnies21 with FinTech Australia, sponsoring the Best Workplace Diversity award, together with Vocus, Mastercard, the Victoria State Government and the Australian Government.

We are in an age where certainty is seldom, in this fickle market, we are constantly adapting to ensure our products keep pace with time, and our investors can continue to invest easily.

At Tanggram, innovation never stops. In the coming year, we are launching new investment options including ETFs, Super Funds. Our App is on its way to delivering UI/UX upgrades and new App versions… Market expansion is also on the radar.

In the end, let me thank you, our loyal users and investors. I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
